A busy day with 5 runners

Our 5 runners today head to Lingfield and Kempton.

Capriolette (photo) runs at Lingfield in the 3.45pm 3yo+ Fillies Novice over 1m. She is ready to go again and I have been very pleased with her of late. She has been off the track for a long time but hopefully she can use her experience and get a position just behind the leaders. She is only 1 of 2 older horses in the race with all the others being 3yo’s, so she has to give a huge amount of weight to them which will make it tough.

Shug heads to post in the 2.05pm 3yo Novice at Lingfield over 6f. He ran well below expectations last time at Newcastle and I think stepping back up to 6f at Lingfield will really suit.

Turn To Rock runs for the first time in the same race as Shug. He has been improving all through the winter and is now ready to run. He heads to Lingfield for what looks a relatively competitive 6f Novice. He is drawn well in 2 and will be ridden by Nicola Currie, who was the star apprentice last season. I hope he shows promise and I think he will be a horse that improves with time.

Assimilation heads to Kempton in the 5.45pm 3yo maiden over 7f. He looks extremely well for the time of year and I have been pleased with his work. I think he will run much better today than he did on debut at Wolverhampton. I think Kempton will suit him better and he is drawn well enough in 5, so hopefully Liam Keniry can get a good position close to the pace and I’m sure he will be very competitive in what doesn’t not look the strongest of races.

Singing Sheriff also runs at Kempton in the 4yo+ Handicap for 4yo+ at 7.15pm. He has been in very good form at home and I’m looking forward to seeing him run stepped up in trip to 1m3f. Liam knows him well and I think drawn in 5 he will have every chance of getting in amongst horses and travelling.

We wish them all the best of luck and a big thank you goes to all of our staff on the road today.
