A busy day with 9 runners
We have our busiest day of the season yet with 9 runners across 3 tracks.
Haydock:
Rum Cocktail is in cracking form. I really hope she can confirm the promise she showed at Ascot and get her head in front in what looks a good opportunity.
Different Tone looks great and came out of his Salisbury run really well. He has not got the best draw again at Haydock today but he is good out of the gates and hopefully Saffie can get a decent position. He will be much sharper for that first run back and I have been pleased with him at home so hopefully he can break his maiden and then start to climb the ladder.
Newbury:
Laabbij is ready to make his debut and I think the 6 and a half furlongs at Newbury will be the perfect place to start. He has done plenty of work and I am hoping he runs with promise although I don’t think he will be winning first time out. It looks a competitive race on paper but I am hopeful he will run well and I’m confident he will improve for the experience.
Sea Of Thieves - it is great to have William on board and drawn 9 shouldn’t be a problem. I think we will really find out where we are today and hopefully she can cement herself as a smart filly.
Monopolise looks great and goes to Newbury in great form. It’s great to have Tom on board and I think this is a really good opportunity for him, despite it being very competitive. The form of York has worked out well so fingers crossed today.
Popmaster has had a poor start to the year but we can make excuses for each of them and I am hoping he can get back to form today with Billy on board taking 3lbs off.
Hedonista - I am looking forward to seeing her on grass today and it is great to have Tom on board. She is drawn well in 2 and hopefully she continues to show promise.
American Star I hope shows more today at Newbury after a few disappointing runs.
Nottingham:
Crack Shot - has come out of his debut well and we are hopeful he makes a step forward today.
