Doncaster and Kempton runners today

We have four runners today.

Sunset Bay came out of her Goodwood race very well and although it’s only a ten day turnaround, it’s worth a go at the Sceptre Stakes at Doncaster today. I hope they don’t get too much rain, it’s obviously a tough race but I think on good ground she should run well.

Union Court heads to Doncaster today to take on the older horses for the first time in the 4.10pm, which will be very interesting, carrying only 8st 2lb. I think she could be a very interesting runner in the race, in what doesn’t look the strongest of Listed races, but obviously it will be run at a different tempo to two-year-old races so we will have to see how she copes. I’m pleased Saffie is riding her she knows her and hopefully they don’t get too much rain.

Star Sprite heads to Kempton for the 6pm. I’m sure she will improve with racing as she is a slow learner and I’m hoping she runs well today. I’m confident she will win before the end of the year and will improve with racing next year.

Above It All has got a bad draw at Kempton today in the 8pm Handicap but with the rain about I think we still have a go. I’ve taken the blinkers off to see if that sweetens him up and if he’s a bit more straightforward. Tom obviously knows him very well and he hopefully he runs a big race in what looks a winnable contest.

Good luck to all connections today. Pictured below, Sunset Bay and Elouise.
