Eight runners at home & abroad today
We are all set for a very busy afternoon & evening of racing today when we send out eight runners between three racecourses at home and one in France. First of all Triggered heads to Maisons-Laffitte for his first shot at a Listed race, he runs in the Prix Saraca over six and a half furlongs, he will be ridden by Pierre-Charles Boudot and is drawn 11 of 11. He was very unlucky at Doncaster last time never getting a run and being drawn on the wrong side, we believe that he is up to this level and should run very well.
At Redcar we have the so far disappointing Dark Panther who we believe is much better than his official rating of 49, he runs in the Class 6 nursery over six furlongs, he is drawn in 6 of 19 and will be ridden by Hollie Doyle. He should run well coming back in trip again.
We also run Legal History (pictured below) at Redcar, he has been frustrating and I cannot believe that he has still not won a race as he is very capable, hopefully the gelding operation will see him put his best foot forward. He runs in the Class 4 handicap over ten furlongs, he is drawn in 1 of 14 and will also be ridden by Hollie Doyle.
At Goodwood Iconic Knight steps up to six furlongs in the Class 4 handicap, a trip he is yet to win over but the fast nature of Goodwood's straight track should suit and the services of Ryan Moore can only help. He is drawn in stall 3 of 12, he is very progressive and has more to give.
Abel Tasman also runs at Goodwood in the Class 4 handicap over nine furlongs, he is drawn in 4 of 10 and will be ridden by Ryan Moore. He has been remarkably consistent although finds it hard to win, nine furlongs is probably his ideal trip and he should cope with underfoot conditions in which case he will run a big race today.
Finally we send three runners to Wolverhampton this evening, all to be ridden by Liam Keniry. Ransomed Dreams makes his debut in the Class 5 novice over seven furlongs and is drawn in 7 of 12. He has shown plenty at home, he came from the breeze ups so should be quite forward going and we hope to see him run a good race.
Quicksilver ran much better at Sandown last time and comes out again quickly in the Class 5 novice over six furlongs, she is drawn widest of the eight runners. She can hopefully run well enough to get her into the sales race next Saturday at Newmarket.
Catoca runs in the last, a Class 5 handicap over an extended nine furlongs and she is drawn in 8 of 10. She finally got her head in front at Kempton under Liam Keniry last time and stepping back up in trip tonight will almost certainly play to her strengths so hopefully she can win again.
