Eight runners today between Salisbury & Nottingham
We have another busy day ahead with eight runners between Salisbury and Nottingham. We get under way at Salisbury with two colts making their debut in the first division of the novice over a mile. Dreamweaver, by Mastercraftsman, is the first foal out of Livia's Dream who was the first filly we ever trained and she went on to win a Listed race on her final start as a five year old. He is drawn in stall 1 of 13 and will be ridden by Liam Keniry, he goes nicely but will need further next year.
Ginistrelli runs in the same race, by Frankel he was an expensive yearling purchase with a very good pedigree. He will need further in time but we hope that he can show plenty of promise today. He is drawn in 2 of 13 and will be ridden by Gerald Mosse.
Baryshnikov runs in the second division of the mile novice. He is drawn in 6 of 14 and will be ridden by Liam Keniry. He is an immature but very likeable colt who will need the experience today but should run well.
Jack d'Or also makes his debut in the novice over seven furlongs. He is drawn in 5 of 14 and will be ridden by Liam Keniry. He is an inexpensive but very nice two year old who has been pleasing at home and will run well.
Blackheath runs in the Class 4 handicap over six furlongs, he is drawn in 3 of 11 and will be ridden by Liam Keniry. He was a course and distance winner last time he ran here and should go close but needs to jump better than he has at Chelmsford the last twice.
Madame Bounty is our final runner at Salisbury, she runs in the Class 4 handicap over five furlongs, she is drawn in 7 of 9 and will be ridden by Liam Keniry. She is overdue a win this season having run very consistently without winning, so hopefully today is the day.
We also have two runners today at Nottingham, Padmavati runs in the first division of the fillies' maiden over an extended mile. She made a promising debut at Lingfield just over two weeks ago and should be better on a more galloping track over further so hopefully she will improve a lot for that experience.
Maygold runs in the Class 5 handicap over five furlongs, she is drawn in 11 of 13 and will be ridden by Oisin Murphy. As long as the ground is not too quick she will run very well today. She has done little wrong this year but has not had too many chances to run on good ground so hopefully she can get back to winning ways today.
