Friday runners

We have another busy day with 4 runners at 3 different tracks.

Hedonista heads up to Newcastle for the 6.45pm Maiden. I wasn’t planning on going back to the all-weather with but she seems really well and I think this race looks a good opportunity. Fingers crossed she can break her maiden.

Came From The Dark lines up at Goodwood in the 2.35pm Handicap. I thought he ran really well on seasonal reappearance at Musselburgh and he actually came down a pound in the weights for that effort which was a surprise. This gives us a better chance this time, having had that first run under his belt he is likely to have come on in fitness and be a bit sharper. This looks a competitive race but we know if he can get back to near his best he is an extremely well handicapped horse and he seems very well at home so I am hoping he can run a big race and pick up some of the decent prize money.

Waipiro returns back to Newmarket today in the Listed Newmarket Stakes. He looks fantastic and has recovered really well from his race at Newmarket 2 weeks ago. I don’t see why he is such a big price when I think pretty much any one of these 8 runners can win this race. We know he goes well at the track and the trip is perfect so I am really looking forward to seeing him up against better horses although I think there were some pretty good horses in the maiden he won.

Hafeet Alain is in great form and has come down to a mark he can definitely win off. He goes well at the track and I just hope the ground is not too quick for him.  He deserves to win having run some good races in defeat and just needs everything to go right to get his head in front.

Best of luck to Mr Siu and Opulence Thoroughbreds today. Pictured below is Came From The Dark.
