Makarova wins the Group 1 Prix de l'Abbaye

Makarova scored the biggest and final result of her career when storming to victory to win the Group 1 Prix de l'Abbaye on Sunday at Longchamp. 

Makarova has been a real stable star over the past few years, owned and bred by Jeff and Phoebe Hobby of Brightwalton Stud, she has been succesful at every level winning 5 races at 3-5 years. Her pedigree now boasts a Group 1, Group 3 and Listed win, aswell as placed 10 times including several stakes races. This was her final run of her career, and we are so thrilled for all involved. She will now head back home to Brightwalton Stud to begin her career as a broodmare.
