Royal Ascot - Thursday Runners

We have two runners today at Royal Ascot.

Blinky lines up in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes. He is a big price and it is going to be a red hot race but I am hoping he has a lot more to offer. Lots of these were impressive maiden winners but it is a wide open race and we are drawn 9 which is fine. I am confident Blinky will be better on this faster surface and hopefully he can make a big step forward.

English Oak looks magnificent and I couldn’t be happier with how he has trained going into the Buckingham Palace Stakes today. I think the stiff nature of the straight course at Ascot will really suit him as proved last year when he ran so well over 6 furlongs and we know 7 furlongs is ideal for him. I am slightly concerned about the draw as the obvious pace is all low in stalls 1,2 and 3 which is not ideal with us being drawn in 26 but as I say he is a straightforward horse hopefully he can prove he is the best in the race.

Best of luck to all today. Pictured below is the handsome English Oak.
