Thursday runners
Random Harvest put in another impressive display at Royal Ascot yesterday finishing 2nd in the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes. Today we have four runners across 3 meetings.
Royal Ascot:
Waipiro looks great and I have been very happy with him since the Derby. He has not had to do a great deal of work, just a blowout on Saturday which he did nicely with Random Harvest who was narrowly beaten yesterday at the Royal meeting. I am expecting a big run if the Derby has not taken its toll which it doesn’t appear to have done and I think it is the perfect track and trip for him. I am thrilled to have Tom on board and I am hoping he can jump better than he did in the Derby and get a reasonably positive position.
Perfect Prophet looks fantastic and I have been really happy with her recently. I think she will leave her seasonal reappearance behind her today and I am hoping obviously she will significantly out-run her odds. The favourite is a very short price, too short in my opinion in what is a wide open and fiercely competitive Ribblesdale.
Chelmsford:
Mbappe runs on the all-weather for the first time today. I think the ground at York was just too fast for him and I am hoping today he can travel with a bit more fluency. He is not going to have to improve vastly from his debut to be competitive here despite a poor draw.
Lingfield:
Protest Rally steps up to 7f which I think will really suit. He has got a good draw and Jockey so fingers crossed.
Best of luck to all today!
